👜🌊 Beach Bag Essentials: Coastal Witch Edition

Living in Sarasota, we often enjoy time at the beach or on the water. Whether I’m headed for a full sun-drenched beach day or just sneaking in a few pages by the waves, my beach bag is a carefully curated mix of practical favorites, trendy accessories, and almost always a Pub Sub.
These are the items you'll consistently find in my bag:
🧴 1. SPF, Always (No Curses Here)
A witch protects her energy and her skin. This is a non-negotiable! I've tried an impressive range of sunscreens and will soon devote an entire post to sunscreen, especially with summer on the horizon!
Current fave: Neutrogena Clear Face 50 SPF — lightweight, oil-free, and prevents breakouts.
📖 2. A Beach Read (Witchy, Romancey, or Both)
You’ll never catch me without a book (kindle). Whether it’s dragon/fae fantasy, historical fiction, or a spicy romance with a little chaos, it’s essential.

🧵3. Turkish Towels for Form + Function
Lightweight, quick-drying, and endlessly useful. I always keep one (or two) on hand for lounging, drying off, or wrapping up after a swim.
Also key for post-beach comfort: there’s nothing worse than sandy skin + hot leather seats—these are lifesavers for the drive home.
🌊 4. Hat, Hair Clips & Mini Wet Brush = Coastal Armor
Between saltwater swims and ocean breezes, my hair needs a little backup. I pack a wide-brimmed hat for sun protection, a couple of sturdy claw clips to keep things in place, and a mini Wet Brush to gently detangle without drama.
🔊 5. Mini Waterproof Speaker
Crucial for creating the ideal beach atmosphere. Whether I'm channeling the spirit of Stevie Nicks, grooving to Drake, or savoring Jimmy Buffet classics, I always have a speaker to provide the day's soundtrack.
🧃 6. Hydration + Snacks
Staying hydrated and fueled is a must! I bring a large water jug to keep my thirst at bay, especially after soaking in the sun. My bag and cooler are stocked with chilled fruit, chips, and other snacks—because nothing kills a beach vibe like getting hangry.
🧼 7. Wet Wipes & Hand Sanitizer
The unsung heroes of beach days. Whether it’s salty hands, sandy snacks, or a sunscreen refresh, these keep things feeling clean with ease.

A few other staples: lip balm with SPF, drink koozie, waterproof pouch for my phone/wallet, and last but certainly not least - a trash bag!
